Accor has sent out an email blast to ALL members today about a change in what counts as a qualifying activity for the purpose of points expiry.
Previously, you could only extend your points expiry by staying at a qualifying rate at an Accor hotel, but as of today, all point-earning activities, but not redeeming, count.
Here’s a copy of the email:

ALL – Accor Live Limitless is by your side
BE REWARDED BEYOND YOUR STAY
It’s never been easier to make your points last longer!
From now on, as a member of ALL, any Reward points you earn will extend the validity of your points balance.
So book a stay, enjoy an amazing dining experience at our restaurants and bars, or even transfer your points or miles from our many partners today.
Every time you earn a Reward point, the validity of your Reward points balance will be automatically extended, giving you more time to explore the countless ways to redeem experiences, stays and more.
Officially, only stay activity has previously extended points expiry. Now all earning, not spending, activities do. Accor told us that they will update the program T&Cs next month.
Conclusion
It makes sense that all earning activity extends the points expiry, and I wish that all spending activity would too.
Some of these other earning activities beyond stays may have already extended the validity of the points, but Accor makes it now official.
According to an internal source, Accor has not yet updated the ALL program T&Cs to reflect this change, but they will in October.
