Le Club Accorhotels has been gearing up its loyalty program and there has been understandably an increasing interest from LoyaltyLobby readers.
In the past couple of weeks, there have been several comments and emails about what qualifies and what does not for certain promotions. I thought that it would be a good idea to do a post on what one should look for.
1. Check that the Accor brand or hotel is Le Club Accorhotels participating
There are Accor hotels and brands that do not participate to the Le Club Accorhotels program at all. You can book these on Accor’s website, but stays at them don’t earn you any points or stay/night credits.
So, all ibis Budget hotels and all ibis hotels in China do not participate. There are some other random hotels as well.
2. Check the booking date requirements for the promotion.
Many Le Club Accorhotels promotions require you to book between specific dates that is often shorter than the valid stay dates for the same offer.
3.Check the valid stays dates
Most, if not all, promotions are valid for stays between certain dates.
4. Check if a specific rate is required to book
Many promotions require you to book a specific rate that qualifies for the promo points.
5. Check the number of nights requirement
Many offers require you to book more than a night to qualify.
6. Check if registration for the promotion is required
Many recent promotions have required you to sign into your account and then link the promo to it. This way Accor doesn’t have to give points to those that are not even aware of the bonus points offer.
7. Check what brands are eligible
Accor often limits bonus points offers to certain brands such as MGallery or Pullman.
8. Check the specific region, city & hotel requirements
Accor has a number of promotions that are region or even city specific. Some promotions are only valid at a select few hotels.
9. Check how many times you can earn bonus points from the promotion
Some Le Club Accorhotels promotions are limited to just one or two stays over the promotional period while some others can be earned unlimited number of times,
Conclusion
The bottom line is that you should always read the terms and conditions of the promotions and comprehend them.
When I write about Le Club Accorhotels promotions, I try to be extremely clear what the requirements are. There are, however, Accor promotions that I may have missed here (always email me a link if you have one).
I will have separate updated posts about the Le Club Accorhotels airline related direct deposits, points conversions and promotions that are equally confusing.
