IHG One Rewards Greater China 32% Off Weekend Elite Stay Offer Through July 24, 2023

IHG has extended its IHG One Rewards Elite Member Weekend Stay offer in Greater China Countries August 3 – July 24, 2023.

IHG One Rewards elite members (Silver, Gold, Platinum & Spire) save 20% on one-night weekend stay or 32% on stays of two nights Friday to Monday (Monday night requires a two-night stay).

IHG considers Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan part of Greater China, in addition to the mainland.

Members who book this offer will also receive double points for stays August 4 – 31, 2022.

You cannot book this offer on IHG’s website but must use a popular app in the region.

Conclusion

IHG has had this weekend stay offer for stays in Greater China for years, and previously only members in the area were eligible for the lower rates, but this appears to have been removed. An excellent offer for two-night stays over the weekends.

     2.    • Enjoy “Double Points Month” at participating hotels
     1. To enjoy double points, members must book and complete a stay at a participating hotel using the Elite Member Weekend Discount during the designated month.
     2. The stay must be a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday night stay during the designated month of August 4 to August 31 2022, where any Monday stay must be consecutive with a Sunday stay. Eligible dates are exclusive of statutory holidays in Greater China (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and the Taiwan region). The dates are in Beijing time and inclusive of the first and last day. If check-in and/or check-out does not fall on the dates given above, the dates criteria for double points is not met.
     3. Double points mean that the member will receive two (2) times the “base points” the member would normally receive just for being an IHG One Rewards member. An equal amount of bonus points will be earned on the basis of the Qualifying base points earned after completing the stay. For example, in the “Double Points Month”, for a one-night qualifying stay at a rate of $100.00, the member would earn 1,000 base points (10 points per USD x $100 = 1,000 points) and an additional 1,000 promotional bonus points, for a total of 2,000 points. The promotional bonus points under this Promotion are calculated based solely on the base points the member is eligible to earn for a qualifying stay just for being an IHG One Rewards member, and any Elite status bonus points or any other bonus or promotional points the member may be eligible to receive for the same stay are not included.
     4. Issuance of rewards: The corresponding IHG® Rewards points for members who meet the eligibility criteria and complete a stay using the Elite Member Weekend Discount during the designated month will be credited to valid member accounts within six weeks of the end of the designated month for this double points campaign.
     5. The member himself/herself must be present and staying in the room in order to enjoy this rate. This weekend discount cannot be used in combination with other discounts or promotions.
   • Participating hotels: Search destination through IHG® WeChat Mini-program on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and/or Monday nights, excluding statutory holidays in Greater China), the participating hotels in search result are with a tag of ”精英会员周末特惠可用” or call our 24-hour Customer Care Centre
   • Guests may enjoy early check-in at 10 a.m. and extend their check-out to 4 p.m. and request an extra rollaway bed free of charge, subject to availability at participating hotels. Guests should request these additional services when booking and during check-in; their availability is subject to confirmation by the hotel.
5. Cancellation policyMembers should call the designated hotline or use the IHG® WeChat Mini Program to cancel their reservation before 6pm two days before their scheduled check-in (local time at destination). Members who do not cancel their reservation before this deadline or who fail to show up for their reservation without giving notice are subject to a no-show charge for the first night of the reservation at the promotion rate (plus tax, where applicable). This will be billed to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation upon booking. In addition, for reservations of two or more nights, if the member has still not checked in or called the hotel to cancel by the check-out deadline on the second day, the hotel will no longer guarantee the reservation.
6. Check-in rulesTo qualify for check-in, eligible IHG® Rewards Silver Elite, Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, Spire Elite members, and InterContinental Ambassadors must hold a valid reservation made through a designated booking channel (Booking hotline or IHG® WeChat Mini Program). Members must present a valid IHG® Rewards membership card and booking confirmation when they arrive at the hotel. Guests who fail to demonstrate that they are a valid member before check-out will not be entitled to the promotional rate, and will instead be charged the regular “Best Flexible Room Rate with Breakfast” rate for their room.
7. Promotion restrictions
   • A limited number of rooms are available for this promotion at participating hotels. For this reason, promotional rooms and discounts are subject to availability at the hotel and may not be offered during peak periods.
   • Room upgrades for IHG® Rewards Platinum Elite, Spire Elite members, and InterContinental Ambassadors are subject to availability. Rooms can only be upgraded to the next room category. If the booking is for a suite, room upgrades are not available.
   • Members must reserve their room by 6pm two days before they check in, and the stay date must be within 60 days from booking date. Members can only reserve two rooms for a weekend stay each time they book through the IHG® WeChat Mini Program or call the booking hotline. A credit card is also required to guarantee the reservation.
   • The exclusive discount offered through this promotion cannot be used in combination with other promotions.

Other terms

1. In addition to agreeing to the terms and conditions of this promotion, participating IHG® Rewards members must also comply with the IHG® Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions
2. Weekend reservations made at the discounted rate cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to any other member or guest in the system. If IHG® discovers that a member has abused this promotion, it reserves the right to exclude them from the promotion and prevent them from making future reservations. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IHG® reserves the right to terminate this promotion at any time and for whatever reason.
3. IHG® can exclude IHG® Rewards members from this promotion without prior notice before they make a reservation or after they complete a stay. IHG® cannot be held liable for a member’s exclusion.

The terms and conditions of this promotion are prepared in both Chinese and English; both versions shall have equal legal force and effect. In the event of a discrepancy between the Chinese version and English versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
